Carlos was a great teammate. He was always welcoming to everyone. If you needed help, he would try his best to help you out. He was a team player & a joy to be around. Carlos will be greatly missed. I know that he is watching over us & cheering us on at our races. ;)

Carlos was a demanding teamate as he always pushed me to do better, and gave praise when due. He was always positive and ready to compete.

Carlos was an exemplary teammate and a great all around person. He always had a positive attitude and you could count on him always having a smile on his face. He had a great competitive spirit that we will miss greatly! Rest in peace my friend!

As soon as Carlos came to his first dragon boat practice, he was hooked. He was so excited about the sport, his enthusiasm was infectious. However as much as Carlos loved dragon boat paddling, he loved this team even more. He was such a giving person he would do whatever he could to help the team and his teammates. Carlos volunteered to help with food, fundraising and even served as our Co-Captain and later Treasurer. It didn't matter that certain tasks were outside of his normal comfort zone, he was willing to jump in and help wherever it was needed. If Carlos ever had a bad day, you couldn't tell, because he was always a pleasure to be around.
